Behind The Movement (BTM) was founded by Jeremy Green in November 2015. Behind The Movement is a night of dance, art, and passion to support the kids in the arts. Renowned choreographer and creative director Jeremy Green crafted this production to engage the masses through enlightening, exciting, and entertaining performances. BTM hopes to highlight the benefits of youth self-expression through dance and performing arts as a platform for communities abroad.
Since the November 2015 launch date Behind The Movement has launched into a training resource for inspiring artists all over the world. In 2015 Behind The Movement launched BTM Intensives. Behind The Movement Intensives is a twelve hour training day where world renowned Choreographers and Creative Directors come out to teach the next generation of inspiring artists . Behind The Movement has been a training resources for thousands of inspiring artists for the last 8 years.
In 2023 Green founded The Behind The Movement Project. Behind the Movement Project’s mission is to support and cultivate the talents of youth and young adults through professional level performance training, dance instruction and mentorship. The organization's goal this year is to kickoff with Dear Black Boy to increase support of the organization’s existence and mission. The newly formed nonprofit plans to expand that same support and mentorship around the greater Atlanta regions and beyond with training programs , mentorships and industry opportunities.
Behind The Movement supports the rising stars to their fullest potential. Some of the needs are: scholarships for travel, competition fees, training, headshots, off-site events, master classes, and dance conventions just to name a few. No child should be hindered from pursuing their dream due to finances.
